Canada’s inflation rate rose to 4 percent in August.
Stats Canada says it’s due to higher gas prices, which went up 4.6 percent last month.
They are 0.8 percent higher than they were this time last year.
The high price of groceries also continues to be an issue.
They’ve risen by 6.9 per cent this year alone.
The Consumer Price Index (#CPI) rose 4.0% year over year in August 2023, following a 3.3% increase in July. Consult our latest article for more information: https://t.co/08lxD6hA5I. pic.twitter.com/GfrqtuoBUp
