For the third time in five days a person has died in a crash on a Nova scotia roadway.
On September 17, at around 5:00 p.m., officers responded to a collision on Masstown Road in Debert. They learned that a 64-year-old man was driving a lawn tractor when he attempted to cross the road and was hit by another vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle that struck him, a 60-year-old woman, did not suffer any injuries.
Masstown Road was closed for several hours while a collision reconstructionist attended the scene but has since reopened. The investigation is ongoing.
Yesterday, a 61-year-old man died in Kings County after his vehicle left the roadway, and last week a 66-year-old man also died in Kings County when his vehicle ended up in the ditch.
