Science North is holding a week-long Science Festival in Kenora.
Spokesperson Kaija Saarinen says for the first time ever they are expanding the reach of the Science Fair.
“One of the exciting things we doing, we’re spreading ourselves out to Sioux Narrows,” points out Saarinen.
“So we’re doing a science show out at the Northwestern Ontario Fishing Center and then we’re doing some school visits and we’re also doing some work for the 55 plus center there too. And they have some trail walks, so it’s big variety just there in Sioux Narrows.”
Sarrinen says the Science Festival will all culminate under the Jarnel Contracting Pavilion this Saturday.
“Our huge, huge wind up is on Saturday. It’s our Science Carnival and this is where we invite different organizations and businesses to come and they can teach you about the science behind what they do. Bed and Bale are bringing their goats and we’re going to learn about them. A Dog’s Life is coming and they are going to teach about the science of dogs.”
Saarinen says there are events pretty much every day, and the Science Carnival will take place this Saturday under the Jarnel Contracting Pavilion from 11 till 4 pm.
Below is a complete list of events for the Science Festival.
