The Fort Frances Muskies won their second straight in the Winnipeg High School Football League Friday with a 40-8 win over the Tec Voc Hornets in Winnipeg.

The Muskies dominated from the start of the game and kept the Hornets off the scoreboard until very late in the season.

Quarterback Parker Booth completed 7 of 10 passes for 103 yards and two touchdowns, one to Hayden Beckett and another to Seamus Barkley.

Ben Huziak and Kel Cameron run in touchdowns, with Becketts adding three field goals and converting on all four touchdowns.

The Muskies amassed 242 on the run, with Huziak leading the team with 59 yards on six carries and Cameron gaining 45 yards on four carries.

On the defensive side of play, Jaxon Strachan led the Muskies with six tackles and assisted on four others, while Blake Kreger had three tackles and three assists.

The Muskies are back in Winnipeg next Friday to play the St. Norbert Celtics (1-1).

The Muskies are also announcing plans to celebrate their 75 years of football at the Homecoming Game on Thursday, September 28, when they play host to the St. John’s Tigers.

A special ceremony at halftime will pay tribute to former coaches, officials, players and equipment managers.
