For the second time this week, the Ignace OPP have stopped a stolen vehicle.

The incident started in Dryden Tuesday morning after a man questioned an employee about whether the Automated Licence Plate Recognition System, which the OPP use, could detect the stolen vehicle he was driving.

The employee contacted police when he left and the suspect vehicle was located on Highway 17 near Ignace.

A traffic stop was conducted, and officers discovered the vehicle was in fact stolen.

A 23 year old man from Waterloo faces a charge of possession of property over 5 thousand dollars and driving while under suspension.

He appears on the charges in Ignace court in early December.
