A member of the Fort Frances Muskies football team has been recognized by the Winnipeg High School Football League.

Defensive lineman Tucker Calder has been selected as defensive player of the week for week one.

Tucker recovered a fumble for a touchdown and had eight tackles in the Muskies’ 47-7 home win over Dryden last Friday.

The Muskies travel to Winnipeg this Friday to play the Tec Voc Hornets.

The Hornet were blanked 42-0 by Kenora’s Beaver Brae Broncos in their season opener.
