Construction work in the area of 5th Street South is nearly finished.

All summer long Moncrief Construction has been working on a sewer and water rehabilitation project.

Until Thursday afternoon, the section of that street from 8th Avenue South to the entrance of A&W will be down to one lane to allow for paving and sidewalk installation.

In the meantime, 5th Street South remains closed from 6th Avenue South to 8th Avenue for the construction.

Local traffic is being allowed.
