Hundreds of cyclists are set to ride through the Municipality of Clare.
The 6th edition of the Gran Fondo happens Sunday for the first time since 2019.
Clare’s Tourism Manager Larry Peach says the longest route will be nearly 130 kilometres.
“It starts at Universite Sainte-Anne, then they’ll go onto Highway 1, through the 340, they’ll also see beautiful Mavillette beach,” said Peach.
That’s one of 3 distances being offered.
Peach says about 770 people have registered, with 230 coming from out of the province.
“People are excited about this event returning to the community, it touches on so many different levels. It helps so many local businesses, extends the tourism season into the fall, and really helps bring out our Acadian pride.”
If you want to take part, there’s still time to register.
