A boil water advisory has been issued in Queens due to water quality problems and the possibility of unsafe water.

The municipality is asking residents to boil water for at least a minute before drinking, cooking, brushing teeth and any other activity which involves human consumption.

The boil water advisory will be in place until further notice.
