Ontario Provincial Police are on the scene of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 590 near O’Connor Township.

An OPP spokesperson says the collision sent one person to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries and officers continue to investigate.

According to Ontario 511 the collision occurred just after 1:00 p.m. and has closed both lanes at Boreal Road W and Cronk Road E near marker 36.

Traffic control is in place and motorists can expect delays in the area.
