A special guest is coming to Antigonish to help kick-off the inaugural Atlantic Economic Forum at StFX’s Mulroney Institute of Government.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be at the university on June 19th to speak to the crowd of attendees and delegates about global change and inclusive regional economic growth opportunities for Atlantic Canada. He will be introduced by former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, whom the institute is named after.

Among the attendees will be all four Atlantic Premiers, Nova Scotia’s Tim Houston, New Brunswick’s Blaine Higgs, Newfoundland and Labrador’s Andrew Furey, and Prince Edward Island’s Dennis King. They will be joined by members of parliament Sean Fraser and Ginette Petitpas Taylor, along with a number of local, national, and global figures of business and economics.

The forum was designed to give leaders an opportunity to connect and strategize ways to take action to improve the regions economy, focusing on the challenges facing Atlantic Canada and the many opportunities for renewed growth.

The forum runs from June 19 to June 21. Click here to register as an attendee.
