All evacuation orders for the Tantallon wildfire, except for the area of significant impact, have been lifted as of 1:14 p.m. today.

In addition to the evacuation zones being lifted, the area of significant impact has been changed and some arts of it are no longer considered too dangerous for people to return. The latest map below show’s those changes with the area of significant impact shown in red.

Power is not currently connected to many of those area but officials say as soon s it is safe to do so, Nova Scotia power will restore power to the area. It is expected to happen later today. Isolated outages may remain in place depending on the level of damage to individual homes.
