Police are looking for suspects after break-ins at two Saint John businesses over the weekend.
Officers responded to a break and enter in progress in the 30-block of Duke Street in the south end just before 10 p.m. Friday.
“The owner called 911 after he was remotely alerted by video surveillance that [there] were at least two people inside his business,” police said in a news release Monday.
Officers arrived to find that the suspects had fled and items were missing from the business.
Police did not provide a description of the suspects but they did release two photos.
Just after 1 a.m. Monday, police were called to a break-and-enter in progress at a business in the 300-block of Rothesay Avenue.
In that case, the caller was also remotely alerted by video surveillance that there was a suspect breaking into their business.
“Police arrived to find the suspect had fled and items were missing from the business,” said the release.
Investigators did not say whether the two break and enters were connected to one another.
