RCMP in Digby have charged a man with impaired driving cause death after a collision around the holidays.
A pickup truck and a panel van collided on Highway 217 in Roxville on December 22nd.
The 57-year old driver of the van was killed in the crash, he was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
The driver and sole-occupant of the truck, a 35-year old man from Roxville suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
Later, RCMP discovered that his blood alcohol content was above the legal limit at the time of the collision.
The man appeared in Digby Provincial Court Thursday and was released on conditions.
He’ll appear in court again on Tuesday.
