The province is investing over $200 thousand in local centres in the area to support mental health.
Aidaen’s Place will receive $100,000 to support programming that assists youth in transitioning to adulthood through skills building programs.
Tri-County Women’s Centre will receive $108,000 to provide general counseling, group programs, therapy and referrals to other programs.
The Yarmouth County Seniors’ Safety Program will also receive $10,000 to support senior mental health promotion in the region.
An investment into Aidaen’s Place is an investment in brighter futures, said Argyle MLA Colton LeBlanc. ”Our young people deserve every possible opportunity to succeed, regardless of the challenges and pressures they may be going through.”
It’s part of the government’s $7.4 million investment in mental health programs across the province
