All three branches of Thunder Bay’s emergency services are on scene of a water rescue at the James Street Swing Bridge.

First responders were dispatched just after 6:30 p.m this evening.

A release from Thunder Bay Police say initial reports indicate an adult male had jumped or fallen from the bridge and entered the water.

Fortunately the man was rescued from the water and taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for evaluation and treatment.
