The Yarmouth Mariners have locked up first overall in the MHL.

With their 6-2 win Saturday night against the Crushers, Yarmouth guaranteed themselves home-ice advantage throughout the MHL Cup Playoffs.

Michael Marquez led the way with two goals, Reilly Mayne, Reid Vos, Tyler Lee and Ryan Semple also scored.

The Mariners hit the 80 point mark in a season for just the third time, and first time since 2008.

They have two games left in the regular season, on the road against Pictou County Thursday and back home against the Crushers Saturday.
