The Eastern Canadian Fisheries Expo returns to Yarmouth this Friday and Saturday.

It hasn’t been held at Mariners Centre since before the pandemic.

It offers the top products and technology from the commercial fishing industry.

Show Manager Shawn Murphy says booth spaces for exhibitors are completely sold out.

“It brings people from all over, as far away as Europe, B.C., Seattle, Florida and all over the world bringing new and interesting products,” says Murphy.

He says it brings the entire marine industry under one roof.

Dozens of industry professionals and businesses will be set up,

“With the price of gas being high these days, fishers want things to be efficient. New boat designs and engine technology are just a few things that will be on display.”

The Atlantic Canada Marine Hall of Fame will induct Penny Graham of Brier Island, along with Terry Zinck and Bruce Atkinson from Clark’s Harbour for their work in the industry.

Visitors are encouraged to pre-register online to skip the registration line at the door and save.
