A successful return for the Yarmouth Polar Bear Dip.

Over 30 people braved the cold waters at Lake Milo on New Year’s Day.

It was a fundraiser for the Yarmouth Fire Department.

Fire Prevention Officer Stewart Deveau says over 2,100 dollars was raised.

“And it went over very well. We at the Yarmouth Fire Department appreciated support from Alec Pitt and the club, as well as our sponsor Boston Pizza, and everyone that supported the cause,” says Deveau.

He says it ranked as one of the most successful polar bear dips in the 16 year history of the event.
