There’s snow on the way to the region.

Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick are now under a snowfall warning, with up to 20 centimetres expected.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Jill Maepea says it’s a low-pressure system that will impact central and eastern parts of the province, “the worst of the precipitation is expected Tuesday night and when you wake up Wednesday morning you should see significant snow, especially in the eastern parts of the province.”

Gusty winds will also mean blowing snow and that could create visibility issues.

Maepea adds that conditions will improve Wednesday morning, “Many coastal areas will actually see a changeover to rain just being in proximity to the Gulf waters.”

She adds once this system passes through, they have their eye on another potential system for Saturday.
