Many lobster fishers in Southwestern N.S. are still waiting for the go-ahead to start the season.
Dumping Day continues to be delayed in LFA 34.
A weather call with port reps, DFO and Environment Canada took place this morning, and another one will happen at 4:30.
A vote is expected this afternoon on whether or not to begin the season Friday.
Daily calls will now take place, and fishers should be prepared with a 48-hour notice to start the season when weather allows.
Dumping Day went ahead in LFA 33 yesterday, that represents over 700 licence holders from Shelburne to Halifax.
