A man has been charged by the RCMP following a robbery in Digby.
Police say on Saturday around 5:30 p.m., Digby RCMP responded to a report of a robbery at a convenience store on Water Street.
They learned a man entered the store, assaulted an employee and stole cash from the till before fleeing on foot.
The employee wasn’t injured and the man was soon found on Church Street.
Fifty-one year old Harold James Baker, of Plympton, has been charged with Robbery, Obstructing a Peace Officer and Possession of a Controlled Substance after he was found to have cocaine.
Baker was remanded into custody and appeared in Digby Provincial Court today.
