The Lobster Trap Christmas Tree will be lit tonight.

Located at the Cape Sable Island Causeway, the tree consists of over 200 lobster traps and 100 buoys.

Each buoy tells a story of a fisher that has been lost to the sea.

The lighting has been a virtual event the last few years, but it will take place in person at 6:30.

There will also be fireworks after the lighting.

The Town of Yarmouth will light up their tree and Frost Park tomorrow night.

The buoy tree on Dennis Point Wharf in Pubnico will be lit tomorrow night at 6.
