Saint John’s first Santa Claus parade in three years will happen this weekend.

The 69th annual Saint John Santa Claus Parade begins at 6 p.m. Saturday.

As a result, several streets throughout the city will be closed from 4 p.m to 8 p.m.

• Union Street and Crown Street
• Sydney Street from Union Street to King Street East
• King Square North
• Charlotte Street from Union Street to King Street
• King Street
• St. Patrick Street
• The Viaduct
• Main Street from St. Patrick Street to Chesley Drive
• Lansdowne Avenue to Wellesley Avenue.

There will also be several transit detours and changes due to the parade. You can see the full list in the photo at the bottom of this story.

It is the first of three parades taking place in the Saint John region over the next couple of weekends.

The 18th annual Lancaster Santa Claus Parade happens on Saturday, Nov. 26, starting at 1 p.m. The 23rd annual KV Santa Claus Parade takes place the same day at 6 p.m.
