Two ceremonies in Yarmouth on Remembrance Day.
As usual, they’ll take place at the Cenotaph on Main Street and at Mariners Centre.
You’re asked to arrive between 10:30 and 10:45.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 61 Poppy Campaign chair Ken Dennis says it’s important to honour veterans.
“To even stand at the Cenotaph and reflect on everything these people did for us, and to remember the names that are on our monuments,” says Dennis.
There are 50 Veterans banners installed in downtown Yarmouth, the Legion partnered with the town to provide them.
Dennis says it’s wonderful for family members to see their relatives on the banners.
He says there are 92 poppy boxes out in the community, and citizens have been very supportive.
All money raised goes back to veterans and their families.
