By Randy Thoms Oct 7, 2022 | 9:20 AM

A call to the OPP has led to impaired driving charges against a man from Prince Edward Island.

It came Tuesday in Atikokan just before 8 p.m., leading police to stop a vehicle on Highway 11 near Mine Center.

The 48-year-old driver was taken into custody and later charged.

Along with two impaired driving-related charges, Jason Roper was also charged with driving while under suspension in Ontario.

The motorist also had his driver’s licence suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 45 days.

He will be in court in November to answer to the charges.
