Officials with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and St. Joseph’s Care Group have expanded a Covid-19 outbreak, first announced on Monday on 5 North Geriatric Assessment and Rehabilitative Services, to include 5 South.

The health unit says it is continuing to work with St. Joseph’s Care Group to manage the outbreak.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit and St. Joseph’s Care Group have confirmed a Covid-19 outbreak at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

The outbreak has been restricted to 5 North, Geriatric Assessment and Rehabilitative Care.

The TBDHU has initiated an assessment of the outbreak and further measures will be take as needed to manage the situation.
