A Yarmouth County woman was displaced by a fire Sunday afternoon.

It happened on New Road in Amirault’s Hill, as fire extensively damaged the home.

The Canadian Red Cross says they’re assisting the woman with emergency purchases like clothing and food.

She was not home at the time of the blaze.
