It is just over one month before most residents of the Rainy River District go to the polls in municipal elections.

Fort Frances voters will again vote online or by telephone.

Town clerk Gabrielle Lecuyer says now is a good time to ensure that you are on the voter’s list.

“Electors can attend the town of Fort Frances Civic Centre, and they can review to make sure that they are on the voter’s list. So if you’re new to the town of Fort Frances, there would be a form that you would have. It’s a prescribed form that needs to be filled out,” says Lecuyer.

In case you need to make changes or need to be added to the voter’s list, Lecuyer recommends bringing a valid piece of ID. This could include a driver’s license or health card.

You can even bring things like a utility bill showing your qualifying address.

Residents that live outside of Fort Frances can visit their municipal offices to check voters’ lists in their community.

Election day is October 24.
