Due to a staff shortage, Horizon Health Network says the emergency department at the Sackville Memorial Hospital will be temporarily closed on Tuesday.
The ER closed today at 4 p.m. and will reopen on Wednesday at 8 a.m.
Horizon says all patients requiring emergency medical care will need to seek treatment at another hospital.
The Sackville ER is normally open daily from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
For non-urgent medical needs, Horizon urges Sackville-area residents to continue to use other options, such as Tele-Care 811; pharmacies; virtual care, such as eVisitNB.ca; and after-hours clinics.
More information on these options is available at sowhywait.ca
