Two people have been charged with robbery after an incident in Digby.

Digby RCMP say around 12:30 p.m. yesterday they responded to a report of a robbery on Mount St. that took place on Saturday.

They say a 67-year-old man had been visited by a 31-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman, was assaulted and his bank card was stolen.

The suspects left but were arrested shortly after the robbery was reported. Police searched the suspect’s home and recovered the bank card.

Cody Williams Lohnes and Crystal Lee Marwick, both of Digby, have been charged with Robbery.

Lohnes is also facing a charge of Assault with a Weapon while Marwick is also facing a charge of Breach of Probation.

Both are in custody and appeared in Digby Provincial Court today.
