Country music filled the air in Dieppe as around 20, 000 fans packed the MusiquArt site for their first ever YQM Country Fest.

Promoter Sam Bourgeois describes the weekend as a success, “Overall everything went pretty smooth. Obviously, there were a couple of minor kinks but for a first-year festival, overall we were very pleased and we are very excited to come back next year. There were line-ups coming in at 7 or 8 in the morning. There were some lengthy lineups at times but nothing crazy. Same for the washrooms and the bar were both flowing quite well considering we had around 20,000 people here.”

He says they were pleased with the MusiquArt site, and they received good feedback about the proximity of everything,

Based on suggestions from fans on Friday, they did make a few changes overnight before Saturday’s show, “We made a few changes overnight Friday on the chair section and gating areas that made quite an improvement,” Bourgeois adds.

Work is already underway for another YQM Country Fest, which he hopes can be held in August next year as well.

Bourgeois hopes to have more information about acts released before the end of 2022.

He also plans to seek more feedback from fans in a couple of weeks, with the intention of using that input to work towards an even bigger show for 2023.

Florida Georgia Line took to the stage on Friday night.

Fans were thrilled with a surprise appearance by Gwen Stefani who took to the stage with her husband Blake Shelton on Saturday night.
