This is National Acadian Day or Le Quinze Août, a day for Acadians to celebrate their culture and heritage with activities planned for the whole family.

The celebration in Dieppe is focused at the MusiquART venue on Notre-Dame Street starting at 1 p.m. with bouncy castles, music and a magician.

Dieppe’s Tintamarre around the UNIplex will get underway at 5:45 p.m. and will be followed by an evening of free music featuring several artists at 7 p.m.

In Moncton, the Tintamarre will make its way from Sommet Park to Riverfront Park starting at 5:55 p.m. with brief street closures expected.

An evening of free music will follow on the riverfront as part of the Acadie Rock Festival.

Admission will also be free today at Le Pays de la Sagouine in Bouctouche.
