Thousands of country music fans will converge on Greater Moncton in eleven days.
YQM Countryfest is set for August 26th and 27th.
Promoter Sam Bourgeois says gates open at 1 pm each day. “If you want to come in earlier, close to when the gates open, you won’t have a problem getting in. If you are coming at peak times, it will probably be congested, We are going to try and manage as best as possible and hopefully that congestion will only last for a short amount of time.”
Bourgeois says tickets aren’t sold out yet, but he expects they’ll be close by concert day. The MusiqArt site in Dieppe can hold around 25,000 people.
You can bring your own chair, and a sealed one-litre bottle of water. There will also be a number of food vendors on-site during the show.
Bourgeois is anticipating a successful show and is already looking ahead to next year, “These bands are in such high demand and they are booking 12 and 18 months in advance so we have been in 2023 mode as far as booking talent for a few months now. We are really excited to come back next year with an even bigger and better lineup.”
He adds, “This is a major project we have been working on for a few years now and we are excited to bring it to fruition and to the fans.”
The first ever YQM Countryfest includes Blake Shelton, Florida Georgia Line, Dean Brody and Scott McCreery.
